Happening Thursday: Key Biscayne Citizen Project Conference 1000 Eyes on the Water | Vizcaya key

This coming Thursday, August 25, residents will have the opportunity to listen to a talk by Tyler Mominey, Miami Waterkeeper’s Education and Outreach Coordinator.

Mominey also leads Miami Waterkeeper’s outreach and education team. Born and raised in South Florida, Tyler has always had a passion for Florida waters.

With a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Central Florida, Mominey has taken the steps to be active in protecting and fighting for her home.

The conference will focus on the 1000 Eyes on the Water program – a volunteer-based, community-led initiative to help the Miami Waterkeeper team detect and report pollution in the bay and South Florida waterways. .

To provide ways to get involved in the project, the conference is available for attendees in person and via Zoom, completely free and open to the public.
