Harry Potter Book Night returns for the magical eighth year

After last year’s celebrations were moved to June due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Harry Potter Book Night 2022 returned to its regular early February schedule on February 3. Publisher Bloomsbury’s annual event also marked the start of Miles of Magic. Reading challenge for kids.

Around the world, Harry Potter fans young and old celebrated Harry Potter Book Night online and in person, themed around magical journeys. Events in Argentina and Spain illustrate the reach of Harry Potter Book Night beyond the UK.

England had no shortage of celebrations, including one on Merseyside at the World of Glass’s St Helens Library. Another library, that of Cheshire, organized an online quiz. Schools also joined in the daytime party, including Blue Coat School, a day school in the West Midlands.
