HNLU Exchange Academy (HEXA), International Lecture Series

The HNLU Exchange Academy (HEXA)is conceptualized with the aim of partnering with universities/institutions/organizations in India and abroad for academic collaboration in teaching, research and advocacy. The Academy will facilitate exchange programs for faculty, students and researchers in areas of mutual interest and strength.

HEXA will strengthen national and international cooperation for a better understanding of the legal and related interface of public policies. The Academy is in the process of identifying partnerships and aims for a dynamic exchange of ideas.

HEXA International Talk Series is designed to invite scholars and public policy specialists to lecture and interact offline/online each month. Prof. VCVivekanandan, Vice Chancellor of HNLU said, “The launch of HEXA and the International Talk Series as a segment of the Academy will provide a platform for Indian and international understanding of global issues.”

The inaugural talk of the Talk series will be delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Philippe Cullet, School of Law, University of London on Why sustainability is important for our better future the 27the August 2022, 11 p.m.-12 p.m. Dr Philippe Cullet is Professor of International and Environmental Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. He is also a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Center for Policy Research in New Delhi. In 2015-2017, he was a member of Indian Ministry of Water Resources, Rivers Development and Ganges Rejuvenation Committee which drafted the National Water Framework Bill, 2016 and the on groundwater (sustainable management), 2017 He is currently working on sludge management, water vending machines and farmers’ rights.
