About the book

Growing up in Silicon Valley, Carolyn Dismuke always thought a career in high tech was her dream, but then she found her passion. A fulfilling career in the city and an active social life had convinced California native Dismuke that she was living her dream, but her life changed when she drove through vineyards on back roads. She became a diligent student in a world-renowned wine studies program, where she mastered the classic regions. Eight chapters on France and seven on Italy leave her salivating with envy. Yet a single California chapter had her packing her wanderlust and moving to a different area each month to soak up all the juicy details.

Drink Your Words chronicles its journey through Golden State appellations, highlighting vineyard details and travel tips. As she meets a growing number of creative winegrower characters, she sees her own creativity reflected in them, bubbling within her, struggling to be heard. This is an inspiring memoir for anyone who is dying to follow their passion. It’s a helpful guide through California’s wine country for those who want to travel vicariously.

The book is available on sites such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Goodreads.
