Rajnath Singh to deliver keynote speech at PC Lal Memorial Conference

New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will deliver the keynote address at the 37th Air Chief Marshal PC Lal Memorial Lecture on May 5. The conference was organized by the Air Force Association and is scheduled to take place at the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park here at 5 p.m. IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Air Force Association President Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retd) and senior Air Force officers, serving and retired, will be in attendance, the official said. IAF. The previous edition of the conference was held in 2019. Air Chief Marshal PC Lal was commissioned into the IAF in 1939. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross during the Burma Campaign in World War II world. He served as Vice Chief of Air Staff during the 1965 war. While deputing to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in 1966, he served as Chairman and Managing Director of HAL. As the 7th Chief of the IAF during the 1971 war, his exceptional leadership proved to be a decisive factor for India’s victory and for the liberation of Bangladesh. He received the Padma Bhushan in 1966 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1972 for his contributions during the two wars.
