Reddick Library Launches Monthly Book Club for Tweens and Teens – Shaw Local

4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23: Summer Movie Madness, ages 13 and up. The library will display “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” on screen in coordination with the Harry Potter Book Club.

5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 24: Harry Potter Book Club, from the fourth to the terminal. A new monthly book club for tweens and teens. The library will discuss the second book in the Harry Potter series, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. Come share your thoughts on the book, then stay for a game and a treat. Order your copy of the book from the Children’s Services office.

3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, August 25: Film “The Lion King”, all public. Come join the library to watch “The Lion King” (1994 animation, rated G)

10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27: Mini paper sunflowers: summer craft hours, adults. All supplies will be provided for participants to make mini paper sunflowers or a sunbeam. Registration is required as places are limited due to the availability of supplies. To reserve a place for this course, call the library or stop by the loan counter.

1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday August 27: The Loop group, adults. Learn to knit or crochet in a friendly environment with knowledgeable people.
