The 2022 Shepard Lecture Series will host an evening with 4 Indian Appellate Judges

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – On Tuesday, the Evansville Bar Association and the Evansville Bar Foundation will welcome four judges from the Indiana Court of Appeals to Evansville.

According to a press release, the band will share the court’s 131-year history with the public. The Honorable Randall T. Shepard, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Indiana, will be joined by Justice Melissa S. May, Justice Elaine Brown and Justice Leanna K. Weissmann for the event.

Officials say the four judges will join a moderate presentation titled, “What has the Court of Appeals done for the Indiana justice system? »

The judges will also share stories from the Court’s new book of historical biographies, The Indiana Court of Appeals.

They say the event will take place at the Old Courthouse in the Randall T. Shepard Courtroom on the second floor. Doors will open to the public at 5:00 p.m., and it’s free. The seats are limited.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and a reception will immediately follow the presentation.

According to a press release, participants will have the opportunity to ask the judges questions and receive free copies of the book.
