The library foundation will host a mini holiday book sale at Gail Borden from November 25-27

Find a gift for everyone – babies, kids, teens and adults – on your holiday list at the Gail Borden Library Foundation’s Mini Holiday Book Sale Friday-Sunday, November 25-27, at the library Main, 270 N. Grove Avenue, Elgin.

The sale will include used books in nearly every genre, including picture books, manga, mysteries, biographies, science fiction, historical fiction, romance and more.

Audiobooks, puzzles and other items will also be on sale at great prices.

Need ideas for parties and holiday meals? Cookbooks and holiday decorating guides will also be available.

Most items will be priced at $1 or $2.

To celebrate Small Business Saturday, the library has an additional offering. Buy one, get the second free all day on November 26 both at the book sale and in Gail’s Sales, the library’s second-hand book sale.

The Book Sale and Gail’s Sales will take place during regular library hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Proceeds from book sales and Gail’s Sales are used to help bring exciting exhibits such as GIANTS: African Dinosaurs, Robot Zoo and Pirate Island as well as special events and more to the library and community. For more information on the Gail Borden Public Library Foundation, please visit
