VIDEO: Advances in Hearing Disorder Treatment – A Michigan Medicine Conference at the Peninsula Community Library
The Peninsula Community Library has partnered with Michigan Medicine for a series of health talks in recent months. On October 3, the show was “Can you hear me? Advances in the Treatment of Hearing Disorders,” presented by Gabriel Corfas, Ph.D. I have included the video below.
The lectures were well attended and we were fortunate to have doctors from Michigan Medicine offering timely information on what is happening with various health issues. Thanks to the Peninsula Community Library team for making this possible.

The hearing loss video below is my first with my new video camera (a Canon Vixia HF G50). I’m still figuring out how it all works – lighting, resolution, zoom in and out, etc. – but I think the quality is significantly better than the iPhone video I made of the blood cancer conference.
I also need a taller tripod so I can be at the back of the room and shoot the video above the audience. And at some point I’ll figure out how to “tag” the videos with Old Mission Gazette info, captions, etc. If any of you have a favorite video editing program, let me know via [email protected] or by leaving a comment in the comments section at the bottom of this story. A learning process!
