Waka About Africa organizes a FinTechTour conference | The Guardian Nigeria News

Under the theme FinTechTour: Unleashing Opportunities for Nigerian Businesses, the 2022 edition of the annual Waka About Africa (WAA) conference is set to be held.

The event, which aims to forge a warm relationship between finance, technology and tourism professionals and stakeholders, is scheduled to be held on Thursday, September 22 at the LCCI Conference Centre, Ikeja Lagos.

Speaking about the event, the magazine’s editor, Nwanma Chinyere Ogidi, said in a statement that the conference, which will be the first of its kind, will bring together policy makers, media groups, professionals and actors from ICT, finance, aviation, tourism and culture sectors.

“These professionals would interact under one roof to share experiences and unlock opportunities. The aim is to ensure that the three flagship sectors: finance, technology and tourism professionals and stakeholders realize and appreciate the interdependence of these sectors and their importance in the Nigerian economy. »

The Executive Vice-Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, will be the keynote speaker for the conference, while Economist, Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji is the guest speaker. Achievers University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Samuel Olabanji Aje will chair the conference, while Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed will be the special guest of honour.
